The Fund is administered
by a committee of Trustees which is made up of the Chairman
of each of the Faculties of the ISTD together with the
Chairman of the Imperial Dance and Dancesport and Imperial
Dance and Theatre Faculties Boards, the Chief Executive
and Financial Controller of the ISTD. By having a representative
of each of the faculties of the ISTD on the Committee,
it is felt that the Committee will have a balanced view
when considering claims on the Fund.
Claims from the
fund come from a variety of sources. Sometimes they are
referred to the Trustees by members of the ISTD. Sometimes
cases are referred to the Trustees by other funds. Where
appropriate, the Fund may combine with other Funds to
help claims jointly.
Events are held
at various locations throughout the year to raise funds
for the ISTD Benevolent Fund. Raffles are held at some
of the ISTD events, notably the ISTD's Annual Dinner Dance
in March. The Trustees are always receptive to new fund-raising
ideas and any suggestions would be most welcome.
