Miss
Theresa Jordan
Theresa
Jordan started dancing at the age of five when she was
taken to her first Ballet classes. She then became interested
in Ballroom and Latin American at the age of 17.
Having
worked her way through the ISTD medal system and entered
Amateur competitions, in addition to the ISTD medallist
competitions, she was runner up in the All Ladies Rumba
competition.
She
has been on television in the BBC2 production 'Rhythm
in 2' as a crowd dancer, and has also appeared as a
dancer in the film 'Sense and Sensibility'.
Theresa turned professional in 1979 and has gained Fellowship
in the Ballroom and Latin American Faculties, trained
by Elizabeth Romain.
She
runs a dancing school for all ages and enters pupils
for ISTD medals and medallist competitions. In May 2000
she was invited to attend the Ballroom Teachers Committee
extended meetings and since that time has thoroughly
enjoyed contributing ideas that could be helpful to
other teachers.
