Viennese
Waltz: From January 1st 2008 Viennese Waltz
may be danced as a full dance in all examinations. Until
now Viennese Waltz could only be danced at Bronze, Silver
and Gold as a One Dance Test. It now can be danced in
a full medal i.e. Bronze could be Tango, Viennese Waltz.
A silver medallist might dance Waltz, Quickstep, Viennese
Waltz. Please note at Bronze Silver and Gold, Adult
and Senior candidates must still dance Slow Rhythm in
their examinations as well as the other 2, 3, or 4 dances
as appropriate.
Gold
Star 1: There has been some confusion over
the requirements for Gold Star 1 examinations in this
Faculty.
All
candidates must commence their examination in all dances
with 12 to 16 Bars of syllabus figures (up to and including
Gold)
Please
note this is only for Gold Star 1. The requirements
for other faculties differ and teachers are advised
to check the appropriate syllabi when entering higher
level candidates. |
