Miss
Alison Jenner
Alison
trained at London College of Dance and Drama, London
and Bedford, during which time she held the post of
Head Student/President of the Students' Union. Following
this period, she joined the dance staff at the Arts
Educational School, Tring. It was during these next
ten years that she was to study with Cara Drower, Eve
Pettinger and Elizabeth Harrison, gaining Fellowship
status in both the Cecchetti and Modern Theatre Faculties.
Whilst
on the Faculty at Tring, Alison held the post of Assistant
to the Head of Dance, then Cara Drower, and part of
her responsibilities were organising examinations and
the co-ordinating of the Vocational timetable. She also
undertook numerous chaperoning duties for the school,
involving her with ENB (then London Festival Ballet)
and the National Youth Music Theatre at the Edinburgh
Festival.
As
an experienced Graded, Vocational and Qualifying Examiner,
Alison frequently guest teaches and adjudicates for
the Society. She regularly teaches in Aylesbury for
the Susan Diane School of Dance and Music and Movement
in a local Preparatory school. In addition to this,
she is currently the organiser of the Cecchetti Society's
popular Junior Summer School.
Her
committee experiences have been varied - President of
the London College Old Student's Association as a school
Parent Governor. Alison is currently the Cecchetti representative
on the ISTD's Theatre Faculty Link Committee and she
is now looking forward to the challenge of representing
the members of the Cecchetti Society at Committee level.
