and the West Area Awards
The
Wales and the West Area Awards for 2006 were held on
Sunday, 5th February, at the Congress Theatre in Cwmbran.
Some
67 enthusiastic pupils took part, all keen to demonstrate
the set work and dances. Our adjudicator for the day
was Gillian Robinson. As ever Miss Robinson was extremely
encouraging with her comments, speaking to all participants
with a helpful note about their performance, in particular
the importance of ‘audience awareness’,
and stretching of legs and feet at all times.
The
Junior work was presented by Carol Goode, Middle work
by Kathryn Lawrence and the Senior work by Jacqui Everson.
Our pianist for the day was the extremely talented Penny
Hughes with her usual beautiful accompaniment. A lovely
day was had by all, with a very appreciative audience.
