Cecchetti
Centre Teachers' Course
The September course, held at the London Studio Centre, was
extremely well attended by both students and teachers.
Invaluable
teaching advice and dance qualities were gained from the expert
teaching of Eve Pettinger and Cara Drower. They taught in
depth work from the Intermediate, Advanced 1, Advanced 2,
Associate and Licentiate syllabi.
Each
day began with a syllabus class at the required level. Although
gruelling after the summer break the classes were enjoyable,
especially when dancing to the accompaniment of Pam Peters
and Anna Williams.
Participants
were able to practise their teaching skills during the afternoon
and our thanks must go to the children who attended the centre
to dance for us.
Our
thanks also go to their teachers: Renée Cohen, Linzi
Else, Kezia Mitchell (Vacani), Alison dos Santos (Vacani)
and Linda Young.
It
was encouraging to work with so many enthusiastic Cecchetti
students and teachers. We all came away refreshed and ready
for the new
term ahead.
