Mrs
Edita Doncakova
Edita
currently teaches at Central London Dance (formerly
the Gweneth Walshe School), entering pupils for medal
tests and medallist competitions. She is also part of
the ‘Everyone is Born to Dance’ project,
with the British Dance Council.
In
1999 she was a winner of the Phyllis Haylor Scholarship.
She has also lectured at Worthing Congress, and assisted
on numerous occasions in lectures. She holds a fellowship
in Ballroom and Licentiate Latin American qualification
which she studied for with Vernon Kemp.
Living
and working in central London has allowed Edita not
just to study for her professional qualifications, but
also given her the opportunity to experience and follow
at first hand the trends developing in London clubs.
She has featured in TV programmes as well as student
film festivals. Edita writes and performs her own original
songs, and recently recorded her first album with Paul
Ogden.
In
September 2004 she joined the Club Dance Faculty Committee,
and is keen to involve herself in the developing trends
in this field.
