Richard Marcel
Richard Marcel works as a freelance choreographer and dance teacher. His knowledge of various styles of dance has led him to work with artists such as Madonna, George Michael, Vanessa Mae, The Beautiful South, Diana Ross, Sonique and Roll Deep to name a few.
He is dance consultant for the BBC series of ‘Strictly Dance Fever’ and his choreography credits include, ‘The Wedding Show’ - ITV, ‘Burn The Floor’ - International tour, ‘Bounce’ - Sadlers Wells, ‘Grease’ - Swedish tour, ‘Copacabana’ - Athens, Greece, ‘Salsa On The Street’ - London, ‘Havana Club ’ -European tour, ‘Bond’ - Royal Albert Hall, London and various cabaret shows on board QE2 (Cunard) and Oriana (P&O).He is also the main choreographer for the Fashion Live production company to include shows for London Fashion Week and Vidal Sassoon.
Richard is the Artistic Director of Marcel Productions Ltd and principal of the Elite Stage & Dance School chain in the south of England . His teaching credits include master classes at Bird Theatre College, Performers College, The Centre Performing Arts College, London School of Musical Theatre, Tiffany Theatre College and various dance schools in the UK and abroad.
He sits on the executive Council of the ISTD and in March 2005 was presented with the ISTD ‘Imperial Dance Sport Award’. |
