DFR Fact File - Rock 'n' Roll

New Requirements for Rock'n'Roll medal tests as from 1st January 2007

The following Figures are to be shown within the first 16 bars:

Gold Star 1

Windmill Throwaway
Push Spins to Right and Left (from hands)
Sliding Doors no. 2

Gold Star 2
Arm Rolls no. 2
Umbrella

Gold Star 3
Side-by-Side Basics with a choice of two compatible systems

Important Reminders

Warm Up
In Disco/Freestyle, for Gold Star and Above medal tests, the Warm Up must not exceed three minutes and include all three components. Please note that the Warm Up is in addition to four dances of varying tempos and must be demonstrated first.

Props
In examinations the use of props and costume changes are allowed at all
levels provided any preparation does not cause the time limit to be exceeded. Candidates must remain in the room/studio

Water
When taking the higher level examinations, (Gold and Above), candidates are allowed to bring water in with them

One Dance Test
In Disco Freestyle there is NO one dance test at Gold Star levels
