| Grades
We
are thrilled that some of you have entered your pupils
for our Grades including Intermediate. These examinations
are challenging and enjoyable and the Preparatory Dance
Exercises at every level really focus on good placing
and technique. This is
the best foundation for every dancer, medallist and
competitor.
Music
A CD for the Music Appreciation section in Grades 1
- 3 is available from ISTD Sales, priced at £13.00.
Teachers,
please advise your pupils that in the Musical Appreciation
they will be allowed to listen and mark through any
unset amalgamation of steps to the music, as it is set
by the Examiner. Examiners will bring a different CD
of music samples to the examination session, which must
be used in this section.
Teachers please note that for Intermediate the Examiner
will bring along the music for the Musical Appreciation.
Helpful Tip: For those of you entering Grades, in order
to save time and the use of several CD's, prepare your
music in the order of the examination all on one disc.
This means there will only be one disc change necessary,
(Musical Appreciation), during each grade.
Teacher
Training
Please make a note in your diary for training in the
new Grades 4, 5 and 6, booked for 21st January 2007.
I can promise you that the work is wonderful and very
challenging. We would also be pleased to organise more
Training Days for Grades 1, 2, and 3 as well as Intermediate.
Teachers, please would you contact our Faculty Secretary
and providing there is enough demand we will arrange
a Workshop Day for you.
