Reminders
Booking Examiners
Teachers please take care when completing
application forms for examination sessions. Please be
sure to indicate all the relevant disciplines involved,
remembering to identify Disco and/or Rock 'n' Roll and/or
Country Western (as well as Latin or Ballroom disciplines).
This is to enable the correct booking of examiners,
those who are authorised to examine the requested disciplines.
Tests could be cancelled at short notice if the initial
information is incomplete and the wrong examiner is
booked.
Timetables
Timetables must be sent into HQ at least four
weeks before an examination in order for checks to be
carried out efficiently.
Double Bookings
Please remember that a candidate may not enter for a
Silver and Gold medal at the same examination session.
Bronze and Silver medals can be taken at the same session
but all higher levels must be taken separately.

Moves
In solo medal tests at any level, acrobatic/
gymnastic moves ate not permitted. However, in couples'

Competition Rules
New for Grand Finals Day 2007
This year, for the first time, there will
be an Over 25 Mixed, All Grades' Solos and Pairs events
in the supporting programme.
Dress
Rules
Kneepads – As from
and including GFD 2007, in Street style dancing, kneepads,
worn for safety reasons only, must be worn under the
costume. Kneepads worn as a visible accessory are not
permitted.
Combat Trousers – As from November
2007, combat trousers, with or without straps, will
no longer be a permitted dress style.
Teams
No Under 10 category for 2007 – 2008.
One team per category per school remains for 2007 –
2008.
Over 25's – When there are not sufficient
entries to run a separate competition, Over 25 teams
may compete in the Over 16 Beginner section, following
the appropriate dress rules and time allowance. In this
situation, where two events are combined, there will
be no restriction on the school regarding one entry
per category, two teams can be entered, an Over 16 and
an Over 25.
This is not a new rule and applies to all situations
where, at the organiser's discretion, categories are
combined if entries are few.
