Ball of the Year

On Saturday May 20th 2000 The Society for the Preservation and Appreciation of Old Time Music & Dancing held their 16th Ball of the Year in the magnificent Royal Hall at The Spa in Bridlington.

This event is one of two main ones in the Society's calender, the other being its AGM Ball. Apart from the wonderful venue this year we were honoured to have Miss Julie Earnshaw FISTD to lead the dances assisted by Mr Jonathan Luckuck.

Chris Smith and his String of Pearls Orchestra provided the music. The Society has been running for over sixteen years now and its main aim is to support Clubs and Dancers of Traditional Old Time worldwide by keeping Old Time dancing alive. More information about the Society can be obtained from the Secretary on 01606 834 492.
