Plans
are already being made for the next Imperial Grand Finals in Blackpool.
Please note that the new date for 2002 is Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th
November 2002. With this date being slightly earlier then the previous
two events, please make sure that you start to book your hotels early.

Queen's
Golden Jubilee
This
year the Queen will celebrate her Golden Jubilee. The Imperial Society
will, at the Spring Congress this year, launch a special Queen's Golden
Jubilee award. This award will be run the same as the Millennium award
and you will be able to enter pupils for this award from Spring Congress
2002 until March 2003. More details of this exciting award will be available
at the Spring Congress.

Haylor Scholarship Winner

to Laura Thornton, the winner of the Phyllis Haylor Scholarship 2001.

Dance
Sport Student-Teachers
Candidates
who have passed a Student-Teacher examination may, if they wish, continue
to take Student Medal Tests in the same Faculty, either continuing from
their previous level, or going back to a lower grade Medal Test. Such
candidates may of course also continue to take Student Medal Tests in
any other Dance Sport Faculty, but they may not dance in any Dance Sport
Faculty Medallist Competition.

Gold
Star One Dance Tests
Please
note that the Gold Star one dance tests now available are not applicable
for Disco/Freestyle Gold Star examinations. This exam must still be taken
as a full five dance test.

Correction
In
the report from this year's Worthing Congress, it should have stated
that the speakers who presented their previously assessed orations were
participants in the Phyllis Haylor Scholarship and not recipients.
