Class
Examinations Standard 2
Allegro warm-up
As there is no set Allegro warm-up for this Standard,
teachers are asked to choose their own music and set
a simple exercise to be danced prior to the Allegro
section in this examination.
This additional requirement will be optional from September
2006 and compulsory from January 2007.
New
Music for Imperial Ballet Grade Examinations
New music for the Imperial Ballet Grade
syllabus has been commissioned from Paul Stobart by
the Imperial Ballet Faculty Committee. Paul Stobart
is a highly respected pianist for the Royal Ballet Company.
In addition to the music for the set exercises and enchainements
there are many pieces given for free enchainements in
all areas of the syllabus.
It is hoped that the music for Primary, grades 1 and
2 will be available to teachers both on CD and printed
music in the Summer, ready to use in examinations in
the Autumn term. The music for the higher grades will
be made available at a later date. The Faculty is planning
to hold courses for pianists and teachers, starting
with a presentation in Swindon on September 3rd, (see
full page advertisement) and the new music will be used
at the teachers’ courses held during the Summer
in London and Chichester. |
