Scholarship
The
Mavdor Scholarship is an annual award for a young teacher
or teachers to assist with Associate Diploma and Licentiate
studies. Following interviews on the l0th June a scholarship
of £300 was awarded to Miss Amy Corder.
Amy
trained at Elmhurst Ballet School and Performers College.
Having passed Associate examinations in two Faculties she
is now working towards the completion of her Associate Diploma
and additional qualifications.
Her
experience includes performing at many West End venues including
the Royal Albert Hall but over the last four years she has
concentrated on the teaching aspect of the profession.
Amy
has already had the opportunity to teach a variety of pupils
at different schools including children with mixed disabilities
and has also had some experience of working abroad.
The
interview panel were pleased to offer this scholarship to
a candidate who, in their view, was deeply committed to the
teaching of dance.
