From January 2010 these will be renamed Imperial Classical Ballet Assessments.
Dancers will still enter in groups of four, however, if there are not enough dancers to form a group of four a smaller number may enter. The timings for some of these examinations will also be slightly adjusted.
As before, the teacher will conduct, but not teach, the Assessment for all Standards from Pre Primary to Standard 4. Standards 5 and 6 may be conducted by either the teacher or the examiner (teacher’s decision) and Standards 7 and 8 are conducted by the examiner.
Teachers are advised that exercises that were originally arranged in partners may be presented individually and that the patterning for dances, etc. should be simple. This means that a dancer will not be disadvantaged if their partner is missing.
The revised timings to be used from January 2010 are as follows and still include writing time for the examiner.
