Miss
Marion Lane
Marion
Lane's early influences sprang from a family background
of Classical Ballet and the Performing Arts, with her
dance training being thoroughly grounded in all aspects
of the theatre.
Later
her interest turned to Ballroom and Latin American dancing
and she decided to make teaching her career, developing
an interest in all dance forms promoted by the Dance
Sport Faculty.
She
gained Fellowships in Ballroom, Latin American and Sequence
and was invited in 1993 to join the Ballroom Teacher's
Committee. At the same time she became an area organiser
for the Disco/Freestyle/Rock 'n' Roll Faculty, and since
then has become a frequent lecturer and adjudicator
for the ISTD.
Marion
runs a large and enthusiastic medallist school, and
enjoys teaching pupils of all ages. She gains great
satisfaction in training and encouraging young amateur
dancers into teaching, and has introduced several new
professionals to the ISTD.
