Cathy Stevens
Cathy
trained at Bird College. She danced professionally for
many years – first on the liner QE2 and then extensively
in television, cabaret, pantomime, fashion shows and
pop videos. Cathy choreographed many fashion and trade
shows including ‘Young Designer of the Year’
for Central Television. She worked in the West End on
“Underneath the Arches” and “Hi-de-Hi!”
and for the BBC in “Bluebell” for Anthony
Van Laast. Cathy also danced with the London Baroque
Dance Company.
As
a teacher she has worked at many vocational schools
and was Principal of her own school for 22 years. She
teaches ISTD Modern and Pilates at The Centre of Performing
Arts and has completed the Body Control Pilates Teacher
Training Course. She is a member of the Modern Theatre
Faculty Committee and Teaching Team and has lectured
at Congress and Chichester Summer School.
