Jillian Knight
Jill
Knight was a pupil at Bush Davies Schools, East Grinstead,
training under Noreen Bush, Victor Leopold and Gwen
Carter before starting her teaching career at the Romford
School, where she worked under the guidance of Joyce
Percy and Daphne Peterson and gained her professional
teaching qualifications, before becoming a partner in
the Faulkner Hembery School and teaching at several
full time colleges.
Having
taught at London College and the Royal Academy of Dance,
Jill is now a freelance teacher and lecturer, and a
member of the Modern Grades teaching panel, most recently
working on the development of Grades 5 and 6.
Jill
became an examiner for the Modern Theatre Faculty in
1981 and a member of the committee in June 2000. Since
joining the committee, Jill has been involved in the
QCA working party for both the Graded examinations and
the new Higher Level Vocational Examinations.
As
well as working for the ISTD, Jill is a governor at
an independent preparatory school.
