Sarah
Jane Bullock
Sarah-Jane Bullock
was born in Reading Berkshire and trained with her mother Beryl Jarvis
until she was 16 where she completed her training at 'Laine Theatre Arts'
After graduating Sarah-Jane went on to perform in Theatre, Television and
Choreography.
Sarah-Jane is currently
enjoying running her school in Reading, Beryl Jarvis School of Theatre
Dance and she is delighted to be an examiner of the ISTD and is looking
forward to her future career as an examiner.

Jill
Redford
Jill trained at the
Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts gaining her teaching qualifications
including Advanced RAD. After a few years of performing
in Theatre and Cabaret at home and abroad Jill started to teach owning
her own school in Sussex.
When her first son
was born, she decided to go freelance and she now teaches,
choreographs and adjudicates all forms of dance and drama for schools in
Surrey, Sussex and Kent.
She is an Equity
member, an examiner for the ISTD and adjudicator for the British Federation
of Festivals which includes being a member of the All England panel of
adjudicators. She has adjudicated at many festivals throughout the country.
Many of Jills former pupils are now studying at theatre colleges or are
working in the business.

Sue
Brice
Sue Brice trained
at Laine Theatre Arts. Upon Graduation she left for Germany, teaching and
choreographing and then moved to Vancouver Island in Canada. Upon return
to Britain Sue has been working for Susan Stephens Theatre School, teaching
children, and with Performers College as a Modern and Jazz tutor. Last
year Sue was appointed at Bird College as a Jazz tutor and most recently
took her first Janet Cram class.
Sue is most honoured
to have been made an examiner for the Society's Modern Theatre Faculty.
Deborah James Started dancing at the age of 3 years. She was a Junior Student
at the Hammond School, Chester and later completed a 3 year full time course
at the Merseyside Dance & Drama Centre in Liverpool. After dancing professionally
for 2 years she turned to her vocation of teaching, working freelance and
for Miss Joy Spriggs in the London area. In 1989 she began teaching at
Merseyside Dance & Drama Centre and is now Head of Modern Dance at the
College and is Principal of the Merseyside Dance Centre, Birkenhead.

Carol Bebbington
Carol began her dance
training with the school she is now principal of, Hildale Academy of Performing
Arts, following which she has completed her training at Laine Theatre Arts.
Carol then went onto a successful professional career performing abroad,
in West End shows, TV, film and modelling, and produced, directed and performed
with her own Cabaret group touring Norway.
Toward the end of
her professional career Carol returned to Hildale to teach and in 1989
became Principal of the school. She then went on to complete her professional
ISTD examinations and now copes with three disciplines - being principal
of Hildale, an examiner and a mother of two delightful children!

Thedi
Joannou
Having trained at
the Stella Mann School of Dancing, where she was twice awarded student
of the year, Thedi undertook a further year's training at the London Contemporary
Dance School.
She has performed
in and choreographed many musicals, pantomimes and operas and holds the
fellowship examination in Modern, Tap and Ballet. Thedi is currently a
freelance teacher and choreographer in all areas of dance.

Candi Trabucatti
Candi commenced
training at the Roshe School of Dancing and then at Bush Davies School.
After dancing professionally in France for 6 years she returned to England
to teach Modern, Tap and Jazz at the Roshe School where she is now Head
of the Modern Department.
She has had several
successes at the Janet Cram Awards. Candi is also joint organiser of the
South East Modern and Tap Group.

Joanne Bond
Born in Essex Joanne
Bond began her training as a child at the prime - Headford School, and
then at the age of 16, continued at Laine Theatre Arts. In the following
years she gained her ISTD Associate Ballet, followed by Licentiate and
Fellowship for which she achieved Distinctions. During this period she
worked as a professional dancer but then dedicated herself to teaching
which she loves.
Joanne began her
career as Head of Ballet at the South East Theatre School for 10 years,
during this time she also taught Classical Ballet at the Performers College.
Following this she founded her own school named 'Classique' which became
very successful, winning major national awards. Many of her students have
appeared in various training video's for the ISTD and RAD as well as performances
in some of the most prestigious Ballets and West End Shows. She has been
awarded the Dancing Times Teachers Cup by the ISTD, for successes at the
Imperial Ballet Awards, six times out of seven years in its existence.

Carole Mosely
Carole began her
training at The Bush Davies School, Romford, then at the Faulkner-Hembrey
School of Dance. Completing all Advance dance examinations in Modern, Tap,
Ballet and National at The Bush Davies School, East Grinstead. Upon completion
of full time training she worked in summer seasons and Cabarets in the
UK and abroad, until she started her own dance cabaret groups working overseas
in various hotels, choreographing and producing shows.
On return to England
she resumed dance classes with Laura Faulkner. Then after teaching at the
Laura Faulkner School of Dance she went onto teaching at Swansfield Ballet
School, Alnwick. This then led to her purchasing the school and renaming
it Alnwick Academy of Dancing which has more than 200 pupils attending
classes. As well as becoming a successful dance teacher and now an examiner
for the ISTD she has also gained her black belt in Karate.

Hilary Hall
Hilary is based on
the Isle of Wight where she has her own studios. She opened the studios
in 1983, teaching Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz and Adult Tap. She originally
trained with Mollie Tanner in Swindon before going onto dance in professional
pantomimes at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon. Hilary started teaching in
Swindon in 1971 and then entered students for ISTD exam's the following
year. She continued running a school in Swindon until moving to the Isle
of Wight in 1980.
Her school now has
150 pupils and each year they feature in an annual show as well as entering
various dance competitions. Students from her school have been successful
in gaining places at Laine Theatre Arts, Bird College, Performers College,
Italia Conti, Guildford and Roehampton University. Students have also appeared
in the West End, Cabaret and Television.

Anne Tyrer
Anne is from Berkhamsted
in Hertfordshire and is the Principal of the Anne Gale School of Dance
in Luton. The school also has branches at Dunstable, Markyate and Harpenden.
Anne began her training with Denise Pitt Draffen in Northampton before
studying at Pattison College in Coventry.
Anne has trained
to a high level in a variety of dance forms and is Fellow of the Imperial
Ballet, Modern Theatre, National Modern Ballroom and Latin American Faculties.
In 1970 she won the Phyllis Haylor Scholarship. Pupils from the Anne Gale
School have been successful in many dance competitions including the Janet
Cram Awards and Ruby Ginner Cup.

Sonya Diss
Sonya began her
dance training with Miss Ivy Baker in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, where she
trained from Primary to Advanced level in all types of Theatre dance. She
won the Junior Imperial Ballet Award and was a runner up in the Senior
four years later. She then studied at the Royal Ballet Upper School for
two years alongside many well known professionals. Sonya danced professionally
at Soloist level and eventually opened her own dance school in Clacton-on-Sea
'Sonya Diss School of Dancing'.
She then returned
to Miss Ivy Baker to continue her teaching qualifications in Modern, Tap
and Classical Ballet. Following the birth of her son she decided to freelance,
teaching in and around the Essex area, she was invited to take Jazz and
Classical Ballet for the Essex, Southend and Cambridgeshire Grant Auditions.
Sonya is currently teaching Modern, Tap and Classical Ballet at the Linda
Shipton School of Dancing, Ipswich and the Essex Dance Theatre, Chelmsford.

Sarah Wilkin
Sarah trained at
Arts Educational Schools in Tring and then at Laine Theatre Arts. She then
performed in cabarets overseas as well as Summer Seasons, Pantomines and
Television. In 1980 she became a full time assistant at the The Central
School of Dancing for her mother Margaret Wilkins before moving to San
Remo in 1983 where she taught Imperial Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap.
In 1987 she returned to England and became a full time assistant for Angela
Allport Schools at Barling Magna.
Two years later
Sarah purchased her own school in Leighton Buzzard. The school now has
over 300 pupils up to Advanced Standard.

Irela Marie Strachan
Having obtained a
degree in Dance and Music at London University, Irela danced professional
for several years, performing in numerous musicals and on a variety of
television shows including The Two Ronnies and Top of the Pops. After working
for the BBC she joined the Pineapple Dance Centre in Covent Garden, where
she developed her teaching and became involved in the administration of
the company. She also found time to teach at the Stella Mann School of
Dance.
In 1988 she moved
to Southampton and three years later established Abbey Dance. Over the
past eight years the school has grown steadily to its current size of around
100 pupils.
As well as running
her own school Irela coaches older pupils for Major Ballet exams and for
the last two years has been involved in the Dance Course at Chichester
College, specializing in the Ballet aspects of the courses offered.

Fiona McGuiness
Fiona trained at
the Legat School of Ballet and the London College of Dance & Drama before
attending the London School of Contemporary Dance. Fiona worked as a dance
teacher at the Derby Academy before lecturing at the Derby College of Further
Education and Walsall College of Arts.
In 1987 she became
Principal of the Oakbrook School of Dance in Derby. Fiona is also the Head
of Ballet at the Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama and finds time to
be a guest adjudicator for dance celebrations and choreograph festivals.

Virginia Wilkinson
Virginia trained
at Bush Davies. After a break from dancing to bring up her family. Virginia
then went to work as a freelance teacher before starting Roynon Dance Centre
in Southampton. She now comprises two schools and a small full-time training
college which cover classes from children to major and status levels for
students and teachers. A keen choreographer, Virginia has been involved
with professional and amateur engagements. She is also a Fellow and Examiner
for both Modern Theatre and National Dance Faculties.

Coral Stebblings
Coral began her formative
dance classes with Dennis Page and Kay Goddard (Suffolk) which included
Ballet, Tap, Modern, Ballroom and Latin. After 'A' Levels, training was
continued at the Doreen Bird College of Theatre Dance Sidcup. After travelling,
teaching and working extensively in Germany, Coral returned to England
to start her own school in Suffolk.
The school now has
four branches with classes ranging from Pre-school to Student level. Taking
up regular guest teaching posts both in this country and America every
year, Coral has established a wide range of resources and contacts for
her students, many of whom are working in professional theatre today.
