This
is clearly an exciting time for the Society and its members, a
fact reflected by the recent comments of both the Chairman and
Vice Chairman of the Society:
These
are very exciting times for the ISTD. The new teaching qualifications
will provide ISTD dance teachers with a solid base for the future.
QCA accreditation will at long last provide richly deserved recognition
for the excellent work carried out by dance teachers throughout
the Society.

world of teaching is changing. The ISTD, through introducing the
new teaching qualifications now, will enable new and current teachers
to be at the forefront of teaching theory and practice.
The
ISTD wants to ensure that the existing wealth of skills and experience
held by teachers is recognised and retained for the foreseeable
