Applications
for Special Arrangements
Teachers
who have any candidates who might require adjustments
to examination conditions must complete the revised
Application for Special Arrangements form, which
is available here>>
or from the Customer
Services and Quality Assurance Department
at ISTD HQ, who will be pleased to help with any
enquiries.
The
ISTD has always held a policy of access for candidates
with disabilities to our examinations, and it
is helpful if teachers could complete a form for
such candidates so that we can ensure that every
assistance is available and that the examiner
is aware of a candidate’s problem, even
if no changes to the assessment arrangements are
required.
Mature
candidates particularly for Ballet examinations
at Advanced 1 level and above who may need reasonable
adjustments, should complete an Application for
Special Arrangements form. Full details are available
in the new syllabus outlines available from the
ISTD Sales Department at ISTD HQ.
All
forms should be sent to the Customer Services
and Quality Assurance Department at least three
weeks before timetables are submitted.

Examiner
Monitoring
The
ISTD would like to thank teachers who cooperate
with our continuous examiner monitoring processes,
by having a senior examiner sitting in to observe
and check marking.
We
are sure you understand how important it is to
ensure that standards are maintained and this
is part of the process for every examiner, which
also includes statistical analysis as well as
mock examinations in training. It is by using
all these techniques that we can ensure that examinations
standards are kept to the highest level possible,
which is in the interest of all your candidates
and ensures that our qualifications are approved
and recognised by QCA on behalf of the government.
