New Marking Bands 2004
The marking bands are changing for the Graded Examinations on 1st January 2004 to A, B, C and N instead of A, B, C, D, E and N.

The corresponding marks were given correctly in previous information for the grades but these do not apply to the vocational grades, as previously stated. The correct information is given below.

Licentiate Examinations
From 1st January 2004, all Licentiate examinations will be conducted by one rather two examiners. This should ease the pressure on the examining board and will also allow Licentiate examinations to be taken overseas.

Please note that there have been some changes to the form for registering candidates with an ISTD pin number. In future, to help easier identification of candidates, you will be asked to give the candidate’s full names for the purposes of correct registration, but a shortened version may also be entered for the certificate issue.

For example:

Candidate’s full first names
Marie Joanne Louise

Candidate surname
Johnson

Candidate name to be shown on certificate
Marie Johnson

In addition, the ethnic groupings have been changed in accordance with the latest government requirements, so please take care to ensure that the correct number is added. A revised chart is issued on the candidate registration form.

All candidates wishing to take the Foundation in Dance Instruction or the Certificate in Dance Education must be additionally registered for these qualifications using registration forms obtainable from the Education and Training Department.
