Katy Colegrove
Grades to Intermediate Examiner for the Modern Theatre and Tap Faculties

Katy trained at Dupont School, Leicester and Marguerita Hoare School, St Albans before attending Laine Theatre Arts where she graduated with Associates in Modern, Tap, Imperial Ballet and National.

She then spent seven years dancing professionally aboard cruise ships, including three years on the QE2. During this time she held the positions of Dance Captain and Company Manager.

In 1994 Katy became cover teacher for Salisbury Dance Studios and two years later moved to be Co Principal and owner. During her teaching years she has worked in many local schools including Appleford School for the dyslexic and taught on numerous summer dance workshops.

Special thanks go to Virginia Wilkinson FISTD for her encouragement and training over the last few years. Katy gained her Fellowship Modern in 2001 and Tap in 2003 and feels extremely proud and privileged to join the team of examiners.
