Blackpool Grand Finals

The
Tower Ballroom in Blackpool once again played host to the
ISTD Grand Finals. With 2004 marking the Centenary of the
Society this special weekend was a memorable one for all concerned.
We
hope the photographs you see here do justice to what was a
wonderful event, in which dancing of the highest standard
from ISTD schools across the UK took place in the magnificent
Tower Ballroom.
The
Centenary Grand Finals Adjudicators were: Betty Bouston, Julie
Earnshaw, Samantha Harris, Pat Woor, Robert Grover, Michael
Stylianos, Norman White, Jill Bush, Barbara Grover, Lorna
Lee, Joan Field, Robert Aldred, Jack Briggs and Alan Grassby.
The
smooth running of the weekend was thanks to the following
team: Peggy Spencer MBE, Anne Lingard, Margaret Connon, Richard
Hunt, Nicky Miles, Dawn Hunt, Phyllis Miles, Rachel Wadey,
Pat Mitchell, Mavis Mitchell, Estelle Grassby, Gwen Grovesnor
and Paul Fielding.
One
of the highlights of the weekend is always the Grand Dance,
compared by Nicky Miles. Those who attended were in for a
special treat as they witnessed the world debut of Christopher
Hawkins and Justyna Kozinska. It was a sight to behold!
