Lunch for Overseas Organisers

The happy sound of animated conversation, in many different accents, indicated that we were going to have a lovely lunch. Richard Hunt, Anne Lingard and John Taylor had gathered together those overseas visitors, visiting the Blackpool Dance Festival, and invited them to join us for a special luncheon.

These organisers do a mammoth task in arranging Medal Tests, Workshops and Professional examinations in so many different countries around the world. Their work is expanding rapidly and is very rewarding from the point of view that so many students and professionals want to take examinations to belong to the ISTD.

On this occasion we had organizers from Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Africa, China, Canada and Korea. The luncheon was held at a famous Blackpool Italian restaurant and the food was enjoyed by all. It was so interesting to talk to our South African representatives and to hear, that in spite of difficulties, dancing interest is great in their country.
