The ISTD Takes to the Road!

Following last year’s success the ISTD is attending more major dance exhibitions in 2008, both in the UK and overseas

Danza in Fiera 21st – 24th February 2008

The ISTD will be exhibiting several times at the start of 2008 and to start us off we are confirmed to attend Danza in Fiera in Florence, Italy.

From 21st – 24th February 2008 this event is expected to be attended by over 100,000 visitors and there are over 250 exhibitors and 500 dance studios and companies. The event is going to cover all styles of dance from Folk to Contemporary, Hip Hop to Classical Ballet, Country to Tango, African to musicals and Caribbean to Break Dance.

Attending will be representatives from internationally renowned Italian companies, along with guests from all over the world, from the English National Ballet School in London, to the Crazy Horse in Paris, so this will be a truly multinational occasion.

With special dance events, lessons, shows, exhibitors, celebrities and famous dance companies, this is going to be huge so we look forward meeting our Italian members and anyone else who can attend at this exciting event! See the website: www.danzainfiera.it for more details. Come along and visit the ISTD at stand number T18 and T20.

Viva la danza!

Move It 7th – 9th March 2008

The UK’s biggest dance exhibition, Move It, returns to Olympia in London from 7th – 9th March 2008 with more amazing live performances, dance classes and dance celebrities than ever before. Plus an amazing dance shopping experience with everything you need from dance shoes to dancewear, all under one roof!

Last year 14,000 visitors attended the event and the organisers expect between 16,000 and 18,000 dance lovers to flood through the doors during the 2008 event. The ISTD has a stand and will be on hand to provide information, offer advice and give away some ISTD goodies so make sure you drop by and say Hi!

Expect the hottest dance stars, celebrity choreographers and even more dance space as the event expands into another floor of the venue. New sponsors, Metro, will be presenting an all new ‘Metro Urban Dance Space’ and rumours are already going around about who will be performing and teaching at the show in 2008. Have a look at the advert for this event on page 12 of DANCE magazine, issue 442.
