Entry for Candidates Taking the Diploma

Candidates who are registered for the Diploma in their state secondary school, in England only, can include the Grades and Vocational Grades as additional learning in all Diplomas, and as specialist learning in the Creative and Media Diploma. All Diploma registered candidates will have a Unique Learner Number, which their school obtains, that must be quoted on our registration forms. It is important that this is done on examination entry, to prevent any delays in checking the numbers and processing claims afterwards. Teachers must ask their pupils to quote this number to them if their entry is to be counted in the Diploma.

Results are issued to teachers in the normal way, and the ISTD reports the results directly to the Diploma Aggregation Service, which collates the information about all qualifications for all Diploma students.

Registration forms have been changed to include a space to indicate that the candidate is taking a Diploma, and to record the Unique Learner Number, and are obtainable from the UK Examinations Department.
