ISTD's talent to 'Move It' together at Britain's biggest dance exhibition
For the ISTD, the annual MOVE IT event has become a regular buzz feature on our events calendar and we are proud to announce that in 2010, not only will we be exhibiting there once more on stand 304, but we are also performing on the main stage, delivering a number of classes and lectures – showcasing some of the Society’s most dedicated and talented people – and collaborating with a number of other organisations to host the Dance Teachers’ Careers Forum (see on opposite page article).
ISTD performances presented on the main stage will be geared towards all ages and styles and will include:
• A selection of dance styles presented by the ISTD Dancesport faculties as part of the Move IT Select Performance on Friday 12th at 13:00
• A selection of dance styles presented by the ISTD Theatre faculties as part of the Move IT Youth Showcase on Sunday 14th at 10:30
After our previous success at MOVE IT, the ISTD is confident that this year’s event will be our most successful yet, as renowned ISTD teachers will be volunteering their time to spread a great wealth of their knowledge – giving you the opportunity to ‘move it’ at their dance lessons and attend their seminars!
Amongst the teachers who will be supporting the ISTD are: Kele Baker, Sujata Banerjee, Niki Britton, Jason Di Mascio, Paula Dimmock, Suzanne Hammond, Amanda Hughes, Ellesha Newton, Elaine Mansfield, Richard Marcel, Heather Rees and Ralf Schiller. Look out for profiles of all these teachers in the next few editions of DANCE and on our website!
So if you or your students, feel like going to Boot Camp Salsa style with Niki Britton, want to join Richard Marcel for a high energy Swing meets Hip Hop class, enjoy a fun Modern Jazz class with Elaine Mansfield, learn more about the history of Tap with Heather Rees or attend any of the many other classes the ISTD are offering, make sure you book your space early.
