Dancing with delight over success of expansion plan.

A dance school is celebrating success after a major expansion. The Charlotte Hudson School of Dance offers classes in Benenden and Rolvenden village halls and at the Pavillion, Tenterden.
Formerly Langley School of Dance, which had around 15 ballet pupils at Benende, the school has now expanded to 65 pupils.
It has extended its repertoire of classes to include tap, modern, acro and street jazz, as well as increases the number of venues it offers.
Charlotte, 24 is the proprietor of the school and took over in January 2016. Originally from Nottingham, Charlotte trained in Kent at The Centre Performing Arts College in rochester.
She is now the regional representitive for the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) in Kent.
Charlotte teaches pupils from the age of two up to 65. She said: "In a short amount of time we have had students take exams all passing with brilliant marks, performing at local fetes and events and now have had our first annual show."

Ezara-Mai Downes has been living with a debilitating muscle condition since she was four-years-old, but she refuses to let it stand in the way of living a normal life and has battled the odds to become an award-winning dancer. Ezara-Mai was first in her Latin and Ballroom classes at the ISTD Gillingham Medallist Competition in April 2016.

STUDENTS, teachers and parents at Starlight Academy in Guiseley are celebrating fabulous exam success. Examinations took place in July, with students taking exams in Tap, Modern and Classical Ballet through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), a government recognised exam body, and every single student passed with flying colours.
