Don't miss this sparkling day of dance in the stunning setting of the Marriott Grosvenor Square on Sunday 17th March 2013.

On Sunday 17 March, the annual Spring Congress and Dinner Dance of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) will return for the second year to the stunning Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel, one of Marriott’s flagship hotels.

The Westminster Ballroom at the Marriott Grosvenor Square is one of the largest pillar free venues in London, seating up to 550 guests, and the elegant fairytale chandeliers guarantee a sparkling day (and night) of dancing for all!

Spring Congress 2013 flyerEach year during Spring Congress more than 300 dance teachers, both ISTD members and non-members alike, are treated to a fantastic selection of lectures, workshops and demonstrations, with plenty of opportunities to take to the floor and try out some new steps.

With sessions on a variety of dance styles, from Waltz and Tango, Rumba and Salsa, to Cha Cha Cha and Jive, there really is something for everyone.

A delegates lunch, tea and coffee will be included in the price of your ticket (members £25, non-members £30, payable on the door). To guarantee your lunch please RSVP to edugeneralassistant@istd.org by Friday 8 March 2013. After this date it will not be guaranteed, although you may still attend Congress at the above prices.

Tickets are payable on the door (don’t forget to bring your ISTD membership card). Members who are new to the ISTD since March 2012 can attend for free. Non-members are also very welcome to join us and should call Beverley McDermott at ISTD HQ on +44 (0)20 7377 1577 for more details.

Dinner Dance

During the evening, the Dinner Dance celebrates the achievements of the exceptional work of our teachers and includes dinner, an awards ceremony, musical entertainment, a raffle in aid of the Benevolent Fund, world class cabaret performances and, of course, dancing. The guest list each year includes ISTD Faculty Committees, Trustees, members and as well as distinguished friends and special guests from the dance world.

This year we are delighted to have Warren and Kristi Boyce, reigning four times British National & UK Closed Professional Ballroom Champions, joining us for a performance.

Starter - Cauliflower Soup with Cumin (V)
Main - Medallion of Beef, Fondant Potato, Parsnip Puree, Ring of Mushroom with Confit Cherry Tomato
Dessert - Rhubarb and Champagne Mousse

Vegetarian Option
Starter - Marinated Asparagus, Crispy Duck Egg, Truffle Hollandaise (V)
Starter - Cauliflower Soup with Cumin (V)
Main - Grilled Aubergine Lasagne, goats Cheese Heirloom Tomato, Pistou (V)

Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel

The Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel is located right in the heart of London and close to both Oxford Circus and Bond Street tube stations, making travel very convenient for all of our guests. Rooms are available for a special rate of £155 (plus VAT). For a booking code please ask us when you are booking your Dinner Dance tickets. NCP Mayfair is located just opposite the hotel and there is also free street parking on Sundays.
