Mr Ted Pafitis would like to express his sincere thanks to the ISTD dance world for its kindness and generosity following the passing of his beautiful wife Deborah (Capon). The cards, flowers and donations to the heart foundation, are very much appreciated at this very sad time.

Deborah Pafitis (Capon) had her own long established Junior School and ISTD recognised Teaching College based in Whitstable. Over the years, many students passed through her hands and are now either performing or teaching throughout the world.

As a senior examiner and lecturer she had travelled widely in both the UK and Europe.

Deborah was invited to become a member of the Modern & Tap Theatre Committee in 1998; upon the division of the Modern and Tap faculties in 2002, she became vice chairman for the Tap Faculty, a position she held until the recent elections when she was elected Chairman.

Deborah was also an enthusiastic supporter of the National Faculty’s events for many years and was a member of the ISTD Theatre Faculty Board; She will be hugely missed by so many.
