Kären Byron

Kären who is now an ISTD Fellow and examiner in Ballroom, Latin American and Classical Sequence, started dancing at the age of eight at the Empress Ballroom in Mexborough, one of Constance Grants three Schools based in South Yorkshire. And having gained her associates in three faculties by the age of seventeen Kären went on to teach for Constance Grant, before opening her own school in 1979, teaching Ballroom, Latin American, Classical and Modern Sequence to children eighteen months, through to seniors, she enjoys all aspects of the profession whether it be teaching Social Dances, Medallist, Competitors or Professionals.

Kären was Vice Chairman of the Sequence Faculty, and has been actively involved in creating and presenting the new Sequence grade examinations and professional qualifications on behalf of the Sequence Faculty.
