Miss Sue Passmore
Sue is a member of the ISTD Council, Executive Director of Bird College in Kent and Artistic Director of Bird Theatre Company, which she founded in 1990 and has become an integral part of the course at the College - performing to schools and theatres in the UK and abroad.
Prior to this she held the position of Head of Theatre Department at Bush Davies School and was Director of the Adelaine Genee Theatre for 10 years, during which time she directed or produced more than 70 productions - Ballet, Musicals, Plays.
For 6 years Sue was a panel member for both Drama and Dance for South East Arts and taught for the ISTD and RAD in the UK and Europe. These courses have always had an emphasis on Dance, Theatre and Education. There are two people who have especially influenced her career in the dance training in this country - Joyce Percy and Daphne Peterson. Their inspiration played an important role in the development of her work at Bush Davies and Doreen Bird College.
