Dance Faculty
Many
members will be aware that the Tap Dance Faculty are
in the process of producing a new syllabus for both
a Primary Class Test and Grade 1 Tap.
Tracey
Lee and Alison Forrester have worked to produce a syllabus
that is constructive and enjoyable for young dancers
to learn and teachers to teach. It is hoped that the
verdict on the finished product is that it is fun and
very different.
With
a view to wetting the appetite, a demonstration of work
in progress will be given at Laban in April followed
by courses for the complete syllabus at ISTD 2 in July
and at Chichester Residential Summer School in August.
It
is fully intended that the new work be brought to the
regions, beginning in the autumn of this year. Area

to book members of the teaching team for their local
courses.
Music
for the new work is currently being composed by Bill
Readdy and CDs and notes will be available from the
end of July.
