check out the courses in DANCE EXTRA, visit the website
or contact your nearest regional organiser(s) for details.
Primary Class Exam
This exam is in the form of class, conducted by the
teacher, who may not give personal correction but may
offer encouragement. Candidates should ideally be entered
in groups of four, however groups of two or three are
acceptable if necessary. There is a lower age limit
of five years.
FAQs
1. The timing of the exams is to remain exactly the
same. So, the timings are: one or two candidates = 25
mins; three candidates = 30 mins; four candidates =
35 mins. If teachers have a timesheet with different
times, please contact the UK or International Exams
Department.
2. The new Primary and Grade 1 work is optional from
1st January 2009 and compulsory from 1st September 2009.
From 1st September 2009 onwards it will be included
in all status examinations, but cannot be included before
this date.
3. In the future, for these and all subsequent exams,
it is recommended that teachers ensure that all candidates
have both heel and toe taps on their shoes.
4.
There will be a small alteration to the Primary class
report sheet as there is no solo dance mark in the new
class exam. The 10 marks will be reallocated to the
‘response and knowledge’, which will have
10 marks for each element, reflecting the priority given
to this in the new class exam. |
