Duration of examination: 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Candidates will be examined singly by one examiner.
Requirements for entry from January 2010
Candidates should:
a) have reached the age of 23 years;
b) hold the Certificate in Dance Education or Associate Diploma in the Faculty;
c) have successfully entered for the Advanced 1 Examination.
Section 1
The Class
• Candidates will provide four students at an appropriate level and standard as required by the faculty.
• Grade 5, Grade 6, Intermediate or Advanced 1.
Section 2
• As syllabus.
Examinations in the UK will be held in Regional Examination Centres. Examinations outside of the UK will be held in the candidate’s own studio.
From 1st January 2010, both set and free music will be provided by the candidate on either CD or ipod. The examiner may introduce additional music.
The 10 marks normally awarded for ‘instructions to the pianist’ will now be given for the candidate’s selection of music throughout the examination.
