An accolade from the world of Tap
The Tap Committee wishes to congratulate Murielle Ashcroft on the occasion of her 100th Birthday. Those of us that had the good fortune to work with Mrs Ashcroft know that she was completely dedicated to the promotion of the Society. During her 25 years as Chairman of the Modern and Tap Faculties, her ability to recognise and nurture talent, her attention to detail and her strength of purpose made her an outstanding contributor to the expansion and recognition of the ISTD.
Murielle Ashcroft, after years of serving on Council and many other committees, is now the Vice President of our Grand Council – an honour this beautiful elegant lady so deserves.
Even in retirement her interest in the Society has never diminished in any way; in fact she watches the many DVDs she receives of syllabus work and college performances and may, in fact, be one of a very few members who reads Dance from cover to cover.
