APL Courses

APL Courses are specifically designed for existing teachers who are required to update their knowledge of Unit 4 (Promotion of Health and Safety) and Unit 5 (Lifespan Development and Learning in Dance) in order to gain their Certificate in Dance Education (CDE).

Teachers may be required to attend one, two or three one-day courses in either or both units. Your Outcome Form will list your specific requirements as follows:

C1 - One one-day course for this unit
C2 - Two one-day courses for this unit
C3 - Three one-day courses for this unit

Please note: if your outcome sheet states 'R' or Required for either or both of these units, you do not need to attend APL courses for that unit but instead need to complete the Course Book and sit the examination. If you require further information for a Required unit please contact the Education and Training Department

Each course title is one option and only needs to be attended once for APL accreditation purposes; simply choose the option you prefer from the list. This will continue to ex pand and develop over the coming years to meet the needs of teachers of our members’ continuous development.
