Bilingual Marking

The ISTD is pleased to announce that bilingual marking of FDI and CDE Module 2 exams will be available in German, Greek, Italian and Spanish as of January 2008.

In order to take advantage of this service and to enable us to make the necessary arrangements, Approved Dance Centres must submit their examination applications three months before the relevant examination date. Deadlines for receipt of these examination entries are shown on the Teaching Qualifications Assessment Calendar published in DANCE EXTRA and on our website. Unfortunately due to time constraints, all applications must be received by the relevant deadline for candidates to be allocated a bilingual marker.

The submission fee for all bilingual marking is currently set at £130, substantially lower than the average candidate’s submission and translation costs. As before, the translation of all Module 2 examination question papers will remain free of charge.

Bilingual marking and assessment of the candidate portfolios and Background to a Chosen Dance Genre assignment are currently being investigated. Remember to look out for more information in DANCE and DANCE EXTRA.
