Course Materials Review

The FDI and CDE Course Books have been an excellent resource for people undertaking the Promotion of Health and Safety in Dance, and Lifespan Development and Learning in Dance units, which feature in both the FDI and CDE.

As the ISTD wants to keep its members up to date with the latest research, the Course Books are currently being reviewed, taking into account feedback from our members and approved tutors, along with experienced researchers in the field of dance and dance science.

This review also encompasses the FDI and CDE syllabi and relevant portfolios. Please be assured, no criteria have been changed, we have simply sought to make current guidance clearer to understand.

The second edition of the Course Books, along with the other course materials, will be available this year, followed by the introduction of the materials in German, Greek, Italian and Spanish. We hope that our international members will benefit from being able to study in their own language and that these translated Course Books will open up new possibilities for teachers across the European Union.
