Brief Outline of the Professional Examination System for the Dance Sport Faculties

Dance Sport Faculties include:
• Country/Western
• Disco/Freestyle/Rock 'n' Roll
• Latin American
• Modern Ballroom
• Sequence

Student Teacher
Candidates must be 16 years of age or over. Successful candidates gain no qualifications in the Society but are permitted to attend courses on payment of an admission fee. Successful candidates will not be eligible to take part in amateur medallist competitions or amateur medal tests except for 'partnering'.

Associate
Candidates must be 17 years of age or over.

Licentiate
Candidates must be 21 years of age or over and have occupied a responsible position as a teacher of dancing for at least 2 years.

Fellowship
Candidates must have held the Licentiate qualification of the Faculty concerned for at least three years.
