Young Dancers are at the heart of the Cecchetti training and Cecchetti Classical Ballet provides outstanding opportunities through both the Associate Schemes and the Scholarship Scheme for talented young dancers who would like to extend their learning experience and join with others to improve and broaden their training. Both Schemes have been long established and have excellent teaching faculties and are particularly valuable for those children who may be considering vocational training. Entry to both is through annual audition - a supportive process that allows children and their parents to find out whether the training opportunities offered are right for their child.
The Associates Schemes provide non-syllabus classes for boys and girls aged from 8 years who are in training in Classical Ballet and classes are usually held on one Sunday each month during term time. The aim is to provide an opportunity for like-minded youngsters to meet and experience a diverse selection of dance genres in order to enhance their regular training and to broaden their general knowledge and understanding. A ballet class is followed by a class in an allied dance discipline. Classes are taught by an experienced professional faculty.
There are three Cecchetti Associate Schemes:
Central & South based in London
Wales & West based in Newport, Wales
Northern based in Warrington

The Scholarship Scheme based in London offers a thirty-week training programme for talented young dancers. At the end of the year students have the opportunity to perform at a prestigious venue including The Royal Ballet School, Covent Garden.
Classes are held over three terms. There are no charges for these classes, and auditions are held in June each year. The programme includes Classical Ballet, Body Conditioning, Limbering, Pointe Work, Performance Skills, Repertoire and a visit to a professional dance performance.
Acceptance to this scheme is by audition only. To be considered students must be between 11 and 15 years of age and must be receiving their training in Cecchetti classical ballet. Each student accepted will be awarded a Scholarship for one year. The Scholarship classes are designed to complement the student’s regular classes which should be continued as before, and their teacher’s permission be given for them to attend.
