The ISTD are planning to rebrand the Club Dance Faculty to reflect the varied and diverse work it carries out on behalf of the Society. Watch this space to find out more.
Formed in 1999, the Club Dance Faculty was the most recent addition to the ISTD faculty family. The umbrella term Club dance encompasses dance styles that have origins in Social dance. They are dances that have often been developed alongside a particular musical style and are mainly seen in social settings, danced in pairs. Club or Social dances are constantly evolving, truly improvised dances, although each style has its own unique technique.
