Cecchetti Centre Sunday Online: Focus on Senior Certificate 1 & 2

Senior Certificate 1 & 2 are syllabi designed for the older students who may be studying end of secondary school examinations; they are attending classes only once a week and looking for a challenging but achievable syllabus. 

The syllabi have tasters of the vocational work but are full of dance! A graduation step for those who have studied the class examinations or would be useful for the students to get back to vocational standard following the recent pandemic.

The session aims to provide attendees with a comprehensive look at both syllabus requirements, an opportunity for the teachers to trial the work themselves.

Schedule

10:00 – 11:15 (GMT): Class 1 - Starting with a brief overview of the two syllabi and how they sit within the Cecchetti Faculty Examination Framework. Followed by a practical session where the Senior Certificate One syllabus will be taught in depth with reference to choices of music.

11:15 - 11:45 (GMT): Break

11:45 – 13:00 (GMT): Class 2 - Continuation of Senior Certificate 1, if necessary. A selection of Senior Certificate 2 exercises will be covered, subject to time. Please advise Sarah Wells in advance of any specific individual requests from this syllabus so that they can be incorporated
