David Wood trained at Laine Theatre Arts. Upon leaving he went on to carve out a very successful career for himself as a dancer, teacher and choreographer.

A highlight of his career was when he was invited to LA to create and coach for The Spice Girls – The Reunion Tour as well as helping out in the build-up to their performance at the Olympics. He put together Geri Halliwell's performance at the NFL Footy Show in Australia as well as her Breast Cancer Care Show and her stint in Singing in The Rain for Children in Need.

Very recently he was the artistic director at the opening and closing ceremonies of The Skills Show at the NEC Birmingham and has just choreographed a music video for new artist Lori.

He has created TV commercials in the UK for Levis, MTV and in South America for Coca Cola.

And he has devised and presented fitness DVD workouts for Martine Mccutcheon Dance Body, Dirty Dancing, and the UK launch of the Nike Rockstar workout.

He has created productions in the corporate world for the likes of The Body Shop, Johnson & Johnson, Iceland, Garnier, L'Oreal, Morrisons, Cobella, Pakistan Power 100 and the Asian Jewel Awards, also for several fashion shows, clients including The Clothes Show Live, Top Shop and Reebok.

He choreographed an episode on E4‘s Misfits and staged the Iranian Googosh Music Academy as well as working and coaching up and coming artist Jain Wells.

As a dancer he has toured the world and appeared in music videos with Kylie Minogue, Sophie Ellis Bexter, Gloria Estefan, Diana Ross, Vanessa Mae, Lionel Ritchie, Boyzone, Louise, All Saints, Atomic Kitten, Dina Carroll, Sheena Easton, Holly Valance, Billie Piper, Enya and many others. He has performed in the Brit Awards, MTV Music Awards, Eurovision Song Contests and Royal Variety Performances as well as other TV shows such as Top of the Pops, CD UK, Stars in Their Eyes, Generation Game and GMTV and for Andrew Lloyd Webber in aspects from his musicals at the Royal Albert Hall, fashion shows for the likes of G Star in Cologne, Lacoste in Paris and Ray Ban in Amsterdam. He appeared in the movie La Passione alongside Shirley Bassey as well as in commercials for Lacoste, Kwik Fit, Parmalat, Halifax and DFS.

Within the world of theatre David has choreographed Aladdin, Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates, Mother Goose and Cinderella, for Qdos Entertainment and was very happy at the end of last year to be back at the Opera House in Belfast to put on Sleeping Beauty and then on to Glasgow to put on Dick McWittington for John Barrowman.
