Event details

This course aims to explore some of the key approaches to structuring an accessible dance class within different settings. You will have the opportunity to explore creative ideas with the lecturer in-studio and to investigate as a group how to stimulate learning for children and create structured pieces of work within safe environments.

What you will learn:

  • How to identify resources/ideas that are inclusive and engaging and be able to step out confidently from a syllabus
  • How to use movement concepts through dance
  • How to plan and structure
  • How to enable children to explore with independence whilst working within a structured and safe environment
  • Strategies for a productive effective lesson.

The course forms part of a series of sessions, taking place during our Online Summer Programme, focused on upskilling teachers to reach new audiences in the local community and beyond.
