Event Details

Intermediate Vocabulary Analysis and Alternative Variation Number 2.

This teachers' course will take an in-depth look at some of the new steps that we introduce at Intermediate level. Details on their execution, as well as how to train them, will be discussed and practical examples of training exercises will be given. Ideas for setting free enchaînements to include this vocabulary will be given, along with music choices suitable for this level.

As the entrance exam for DDE, the Intermediate syllabus is the highest level studied when embarking on a career as a qualified teacher. This course is a must for anyone teaching Intermediate, all DDE Unit 4 Tutors and their students. It may be useful for anyone studying Licentiate or Fellowship as the concept of training the vocational work can be applied to the higher levels.

Please note the male work will not be taught on this course however questions may be asked, time permitting, about specific male steps.

The Alternative Variation number 2 will be taught, giving participants the opportunity to consider the artistry and musicality required at this level.

This course will be taught by ISTD Imperial Ballet Lead Lecturer and Examiner, Jackie Styles.
