Tap - Grade 6 New Unaccompanied Sequences

Come and learn the new Alternative Unaccompanied Sequence that was specially choreographed for Grade 6. Incorporating more of the newer vocabulary that has been introduced during our revision of the Graded syllabi. Learn directly from Aaron Lissimore, one of the choreographers, on this online course. Syllabus notes will be supplied.

Modern Theatre - Development of Jazz using innovative isolations and creative sequences at vocational level  

In this practical course choreographer, director, and teacher Barbara Evans, shares the creative process for her distinctive style which is recognised throughout the jazz dance world. Using innovative isolations combined with free sequences, this lecture will give insight into how the most intricate movement can have the biggest impact when used in jazz dance. This lecture's content, suitable for your vocational level students, will emphasise the importance of line, rhythmic accenting and dynamic variation and build confidence to develop artistry through emotional connections to the movement, music, and narrative of the choreography. This inspirational course is a must for anyone teaching vocational and DDE students or training for Licentiate or Fellowship.

Modern Theatre - Advanced 1 (Commercial) and Advanced 2 (Musical Theatre) Set Amalgamations

In this practical course, Barbara Evans will teach both set amalgamations, sharing the influences and creative triggers that guided her progress for their choreography. This lecture will analyse the stylistic and technical details of the settings while developing skills to enhance your students’ connections to their personalised interpretation of the rhythmic and musical dynamics underpinning their contrasting styles. Through analysis, explore the vivacious yet intricate use of isolations that portray the Latin flavour in a Commercial style and play with the targeted, more impactive isolations integral to Musical Theatre. This course is strongly recommended for anyone teaching Advanced 1and Advanced 2 and studying for Licentiate or Fellowship.
