Sequence Examination Codes & Amendments to Scripts

12 June 2013

Notices from the Sequence Faculty

Sequence Examination Codes

When entering candidates for Sequence examinations using a mix with other sequence dances at SDT or Pre-Bronze level, be aware that the code to apply on the timetable is SQU, not IDF. A mix of Sequence dances, eg 1 Modern Sequence + 1 Latin Sequence = SQU or eg 1 Classical Sequence + 1 Latin Sequence = SQU. However the IDF applies to a mix of genres, eg 1 Classical Sequence + 1 Disco Freestyle dance = IDF. Eg 1 Modern Sequence + 1 Latin dance = IDF.

2 x Classical, Sequence dances = CS

2 x Modern Sequence dances = MS

2 x Latin Sequence, dances = LS

Scripts

There are a few discrepancies or amendments to the scripts of the following dances: Richmond Gavotte, Engagement Waltz and Marquesa Rumba. Please see our newsletter for details, available from Katherine Costain 07889 562931.
